Biography
Undergraduate studies in music at the RSAMD in glasgow and postgraduate in Glasgow University.
Worked as a freelance trombone player at Scottish Opera, the BBC Symphony Orchestra and the Royal Scottish Orchestra among others.
Also played in touring shows, The Scottish Early Music Consort, His Ain Draught Trumpets with John Kenny.
Played with touring jazz musicians such as Carla Bley and Kenny Wheeler, and Arturo Sandoval, as part of the Glasgow Jazz Festival and in Tommy Smith’s Scottish National Jazz Orchestra.
Postgraduate studies in Computing and Information Technology.
Teaching and composing and arranging for various projects are, and have been on going and are described elsewhere.
Arranging work and performing with Wet Wet Wet, Danny Wilson, Jim Diamond, Gallagher and Lyle, The Fratellis, Lynnie Carson, Hue And Cry, Abel Ganz and others.
Continued involvement with soul and funk and rock bands.
